My review: This was one of two wines that my girlfriend and I brought to a banquet over the weekend. This wine had a lot going on. It was earthy like dirt, and also very fruity on the nose. Tasting was also very complex; there was a large fruit component, moderate acidity, and big floral notes. I liked it well enough; my girlfriend liked this one a lot compared to the other bottle of German white we had. This wine, while complex, was also very delicate.
I tried this one with a fresh salad with
balsamic vinaigrette. I thought the vinegar-ey dressing paired well with this
wine and brought out its sweetness well. Otherwise it might have seemed a
little drier than I would’ve liked.
