CalNaturale Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2009

Name: CalNaturale Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2009
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Paso Robles
Country: California
Year: 2009
Price: $10.95

Winery review:  95 % Cabernet Sauvignon with 5% Viognier this certified organic winery produces outstanding quality at reasonable prices offering classic Cabernet flavors of fresh herb, olive, cedar and cassis. Focused and intense, with a charming rustic side and broad tannins that firm up on the finish.

My review: For box wine, this was very good. I know times are changing but drinking wine that is actually from bottles still seems like the better thing to do. This was a very herbal wine. It tasted a little bit like olive oil, not in a bad way. This wine was also very tannic but didn’t seem nearly as overhwhelming as the Georges Duboeuf I tried with at the same time.  I would drink this wine again.

I tasted this on its own with no food.
