Georges Duboef Beajolais Nouveau

Name: Georges Duboef Beajolais Nouveau
Variety:
Region: Beaujolais
Country: France
Year: 2013
Price: $7.95

Winery review: An aromatic red, with floral and white peach notes accenting the black raspberry and plum flavors. This is open-knit and fresh, offering light tannins on the finish.

My review: This red was a tannic slap in the face! My mouth instantly dried out as soon as I tried it. It was very heavy on red fruit—raspberry and blackberry. The winery review says it was light on tannins but that was definitely not my experience. It didn’t distract from the good mouthfeel of the wine, though. I enjoyed this one.

I tasted this on its own with no food.
